The main attraction at the Farnborough International Airshow in England from 19-20 Jul 2014 will be aerobatic displays, wing walking, parachute stunts and static exhibits illustrating 100 years of Aviation History.
The theme and displays tie in with the WWI centenary commemorations. The display of planes from both world wars and aircraft dating to the modern day commemorates the technological advances in flight spurred by the first air combat in the skies over Europe. On the trade side of the show, the unveiling of new models from the world's major aircraft builders and sales figures will be watched to see if Boeing's setbacks with its 787 Dreamliner drag on sales of its planes at the show. News reports show the United States aerospace giant ahead in the Middle East but falling behind rivals such as Europe's Airbus and US aircraft builder Lockheed Martin in Asia.
