Jennifer Anderson Land received an M.Sc. degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois while working at a downstate Illinois daily newspaper. She freelanced as a journalist in the Middle East before accepting a position as Bureau Chief-Cairo with Visnews, a television news agency that is now Reuters TV. The same company assigned her to the Americas as Bureau Chief-South America, then brought her to the company’s headquarters in London as an editor. Her service with the company included short-term assignments in Pakistan and the Soviet Union. She next served as Planning Editor at Worldwide Television News, now AP Television News, in that company’s London headquarters. She left the company in 1996 to start NewsAhead International and the World News Forecast.
